Verification Disclaimer

Please read this carefully — it sets out exactly what a Metal Stack verification does and does not mean.
What our testing is
Our checks are non-destructive. They read the surface and bulk properties of an item — its weight, magnetic behaviour, surface composition, electrical conductivity and a visual inspection (principally XRF, with a Sigma conductivity meter alongside) — not its full internal structure.
What it cannot do
- It cannot detect every sophisticated forgery. In particular it may not catch a matched-density or matched-conductivity core, or plating beyond the penetration depth of our instruments.
- Readings reflect the item exactly as presented to us at the time of testing.
What a record means
- A record means the item is consistent with the stated metal. It is not a guarantee of authenticity.
- It is not a statement of legal fineness.
- It is not a substitute for hallmarking. Under the Hallmarking Act 1973, legal fineness is determined only by a UK Assay Office hallmark.
- It is not an appraisal, valuation or investment advice.
Decisions you or any third party make in reliance on a record — including buying, selling or pricing an item — are made at your own risk.
