Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel a service contract without giving any reason within 14 days of the day after you book. To meet the deadline it is enough that you send your cancellation before the period expires.

• When you book, you expressly request that we begin work within the cancellation period as soon as your items arrive — that request is part of the booking form.
• If we complete the verification within the 14 days, the right to cancel is lost once the service has been fully performed.
• If you cancel after we have started but before we finish, you pay a proportionate amount for the work already done, and we refund the balance.
• If your items have not yet reached us and no work has started, you receive a full refund.

How to cancel

Tell us in a clear statement — any written form of words will do. Email hello@metalstack.co.uk with your order reference, or write to Metal Stack, c/o This N That Ltd, Unit 3, 2A Cambridge Street, Bletchley, Milton Keynes MK2 2TP, United Kingdom. You may (but do not have to) use this form of words: “I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the verification service — order reference [ref], booked on [date], [your name and address].”

Refunds

• We refund to your original payment method.
• We process eligible refunds within 14 days of accepting your cancellation, less any proportionate charge for work already done.

Your item if you cancel

If we already hold your item, we return it to you. Return postage on cancellation is paid by you; we use a tracked, insured service and charge the actual cost.

If the service falls short

If the service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — typically a repeat of the work or a price reduction. Contact us and we will put it right.
